ABOUT THE COUNTY LINE TRAIL APP

The County Line Trail App is divided into three main components:

HISTORY:

The History component of the app explores the rich histories of Rittman, Sterling, and Creston. Being a renovated rail bed, The County Line Trail also includes many interesting railroad landmarks. This component is organized into "Junctions", which are identified by pavers along the trail. App users should stop at these locations for "Blasts to the Past". Students utilized the historical knowledge of Kate Slater, Jim Bischoff, and Judy Sabo for this portion of  the app.

FITNESS:

This section includes exercises for users to enjoy while on the trail! Users can enjoy a randomized circuit or revert to a list of all available exercises. Special thanks to Dr. Eric Graham for providing us with these exercises; Gail Bowman and Taylor Sheppard for demonstrating these exercises in the app; and Jodi Keith for photographing the exercises for the app.

NATURE & WILDLIFE

App users will learn more about the plants, animals, and insects along the County Line Trail. Shelley Tender of the Medina Parks District has been integral in the development of this component of the app, as well as Mrs. Judy Sabo and Mrs. Miranda Bailey's Norwayne Elementary School CAT Classes. Below you can enjoy some of the stunning pictures taken of wildlife along the trail from Jeff McMillan. These photos will be featured in the app.
